How many people are in the space right now?

It’s been awhile since our last glance at the sky.

If you’re ever curious about the exact number of people who are in space right now, the single-serving site aptly named how many people are in space right now? will tell you.

The answer is 3.

Do you want to know more about them?

The only one that remains up there since our last post is Peggy Whitson, since 17 November 2016 (227 days, 20 hours, 33 minutes, 30 seconds). She’s a flight engineer from the United States of America who has accumulated the highest number of days spent in space (on separate missions) by a U.S woman.

Then you have two flight engineers who have been up there 74 days. The first one is Jack Fischer, an American engineer, test pilot and a NASA astronaut and Fyodor Yurchikhin, a Russian cosmonaut, engineer and RSC Energia test-pilot who has flown on five spaceflights.

From Inlea, we want to wish them luck on their missions and a safe return to the mother earth!
