Apps to Organize your Business Trip

Here are some apps that can make your business trip less stressful, and make your time away much more lucrative.

  1. Evernote

This app has been around for almost a decade, and is one of the most widely used organizational apps. There are many different features that come with the app, but it’s used primarily for making searchable notes on documents or articles, creating different notebooks for the different clients you might be meeting with, and various checklists and to-do lists in different formats. One of the most highlighted features for business travelers is the capability to scan documents, including the business cards you receive. All of the notes and documents that you make and receive can be shared with anybody you’d like to share them with.

  1. My Minutes

Making sure that you plan your trip out in a timely manner is of the utmost importance when you’re on a business trip. My Minutes, is a time management app that can help you plan your entire trip accordingly. You can make notes to sit down and work for 2 hours in your day, or even remind yourself to hit the gym or go for a run while you’re away. My Minutes also lets you create “at least” or “at most” goals. These features can help you free up your time by reminding you to either put something down that you do too much of throughout your day. You’ll be able to free up more of your valuable time and dedicate that more towards your work on hand.

  1. Expensify

Business Insider named this app “The Best Business Travel App.” Expensify allows you to keep track of all of your business travel expenses, in real time! You don’t need to keep the physical copy of your receipts any longer, all you have to do is take a picture of it with the app and it will track what it’s for and where it should go. This app can be integrated with some other popular apps, such as Uber and Lyft, and will automatically report the receipt to the app. Expensify can help you keep track of your spread sheet for the trip and show just how much you spent and what you spent your money on.

  1. Trello

If you want a more trimmed down version of Evernote, Trello is the way to go. It’s a more minimalist organization app, but still packs a lot of power and a lot of features. With Trello, you can create different bulletin boards that have different tasks, or “cards” as they are called on the app, and organize them however you’d like. You are able to add notes, attachments, labels, and due dates to the cards and share them with your colleagues. This allows for fast and easy collaboration and instant access to some possible vital information.

  1. DocuSign

DocuSign lets you bring those important contracts to your meetings that you might not of had in paper before you left for your trip. This app can let you sign the contracts that you have and send them back to your office so that they can be approved that day. Your client won’t have to wait around any longer for the mail to arrive with the approved contract or if a change needs to be made. All of the documents that are sent through the app have an extra layer of encryption, which is an add security bonus for those more sensitive contracts or documents.

These are just a handful of apps that can make your next business trip faster and more efficient. So before you book your next trip, you should download one or two of these apps to help your trip be more successful.
