Mindfulness will help you succeed

We know that success only comes with hard work and a lot of our own personal investment in the project we believe in.

Regardless of whether we work for a bigger company or we are creating our own, we are use to this non-stop rhythm that always make us feel like we are not doing enough.

It is true, sacrifice is needed, but if we are not careful, we might be harming our professional life by harming our own personal life. Why? Because not sleeping enough, not having personal time to just disconnect and just simply finding a balance, can have an impact on how we perform professionally at work.

That is why lately it has been proven for many professionals that learning and applying stress reduction techniques like mindfulness and proper sleep habits, brings in the energy and positivity needed to achieve better goals.

Here is how meditating, practicing mindfulness and sleeping the right amount of time will help you too:

Meditate helps your brain being organized

The multiple benefits of letting worries go through meditation sessions has been proven by science, this Harvard study explains that meditation increases the volume of brain tissues and reduces anxiety levels.

Meditation comes to our brain as an actual mental exercise. Just as much as running is needed for our muscles and our heart, meditation provides our brain with the necessary space and order to reduce anxiety, which translates to us also becoming more efficient when we go back to work. We will be better at making decisions because they will not be provoked by stress.

Don’t feel like this will be a long time for you to invest, meditating 10 to 15 minutes every morning can make the difference you are looking for.

Mindfulness will help you focus

Teaching your brain to be present in the moment, being aware of every action we do through the day, and making that a habit, will help us focus and, make better decisions and improve our creativity. The reasons are simple: when we train our brains to be mindful, we are actually remodeling the physical structure of it.

But this is really nothing crazy new, practicing mindfulness is an ancient Buddhist technique, that seeks to perfect the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us” according to mindful.org

Practicing both meditation and mindfulness together, is the perfect combination to reset our brains and become less cluttered, more organized and more focused on our projects.

Let your brain rest

There is only one way to do this and is quality sleeping time. We are talking about actual rest and not just taking a power nap.

Going to sleep in a healthy time routine will help your brain to learn a process of disconnection and relaxation.

Also, to actually be mindful and present in the moment we need to be fully awake and energetic.

A good meditation before going to sleep, avoiding using technology and enjoying the process of going to bed as a moment for ourselves, will give us the peace we need to be fully ready to work the next day.

Being mindful, as we said, is being aware of the moment we live; it is also being aware of the needs of our body, and the moments of creativity and energy that we go through. We sure can be extremely productive and successful, but we must remember that only when we are healthy physically and mentally, we will be able to give our 100%.
