5 Most Annoying Things at Airports

We all love flying, right, but sometimes these annoying things can make the experience a little less pleasant or even a misery.

Here are the 5 most annoying things in airports.

1. Checking in the luggage

The journey has only just begun and your sweat glands have already burst due to the weight of your luggage. Not to mention the fact you can’t find your ID. Not only does checking luggage require you to arrive at the airport earlier than desired, (and even if you do, the unanticipated masses of people means you’re late anyway) there are also so many rules and specifications that are impossible to keep track of.

2. Airport Security

We’ve had the 100ml liquid rule for hand luggage since 2006. That’s more than 10 years. You cannot bring certain liquids, gels and aerosols in containers larger than 100ml in you carry-on bag. So why, after so many years, do people arrive at security unprepared, shocked and frowning quizzically when they’re asked to place all liquids in a clear plastic bag? Same goes for taking off shoes and belts. Prepare before you reach security checks and save everyone else in line (as well as yourself) unnecessary delays.

3. Airport overpriced food

Only a handful of airlines serve any food on board anymore, and the ones that do serve horrible cardboard copies of what food is supposed to be, so, naturally, you browse the airport options. To your dismay, the options aren’t much better than what you would find on a plane, and to top it off everything is severely overpriced.

 4. Finding a seat

By the time you get to the right gate with lots of time to spare (hopefully), good luck finding somewhere to sit. You’ll be sitting down for however long your flight takes, but after the sheer exhaustion of getting through the various security and luggage checks, you just want to have a seat and wait for your flight to start boarding.

5. Arriving late deliberately

Despite service messages from the airlines, some people are habitual of arriving late at the airport, only because they think it’s a waste of time to wait there.
